Buried In Betsy's Closet

>> Tuesday, April 13

A few days ago, I received an Etsy email saying one of my items was featured in a blog. Well, here I am 3 days later, procrastination having gotten the better of me, looking at this feature.
Buried In Betsy's Closet is a blog full of glorious photographs of Marianna's Frugal Finds. Included in her blog post are my Wild Flower Brooch in Periwinkle and my Garland Necklace with Azure Blue Wild Flowers.
Marianna chronicles the many accessories she finds that are affordable and can compliment anyone's wardrobe.
Curious as I always am about the blogger, I read the "About" on the blog.
Marianna Ramondetta is a "A mystery writer who loves fashion and thinks accessories can empower you."
She talks about her passion for fashion and her pure enjoyment of all things pretty.
Is she vain? She asks herself this question.
And I ask myself this one: are we not all, to some degree, vain?
Years ago when I worked in corporate, I strived to dress up everyday with a new outfit, new jewelry, a new combination of accessories. It was during that job I actually started making jewelry. I would make necklaces and earrings to match the outfits that I had!
It made me happy to pick my outfit the night before, making sure I had the right accessory/purse/shoes to go with it.
I have pared down my wardrobe quite a bit but I confess to having about 50 pairs of pants. A woman cannot have too many jeans!
I started considering selling my hand made jewelry because I had made so many. I used to tell my husband that I could wear a jewelry piece that I had made 365 days a year!
Read Marianna's biography. Perhaps you will see your secret self in her words. I know I did!
Thank you Marianna for your feature!
