Vintage Botanical Prints Camellias

>> Thursday, September 2

Our fascination with flowers stretches back to antiquity as shown in the folklore and artwork of past centuries.
Flowers and plants have always been part of legends, religion and magic of the world's ancient peoples. Our attraction and admiration for flowers is evident in the familiar gardens we tend and the plants we nurture.
Rescued from an American 1st edition 1970 book, published in Italy, these vintage botanical pages present plants and flowers that will delight a botanist, a gardener and anyone who is moved by the beauty and wonders of nature.
The images below come from original chromolithographs from the late 1940's.
