This year, both my kids studied American history. We were all transported to the early 1400-1500's
and learned about the rich history of St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States,
45 minutes south of where we live here in Florida.
We learned about the colonies and the power struggles, the hardships of the
colonists, the beginnings of slavery. We looked at maps and drew lines across oceans to show the different
voyages foreigners have taken to discover the "new" world.
This treasury by Etsy's Please Be Still is so appropriate and front of mind for me and mt family these days.
It features my Antique 1885 World Hemisphere map.
